Two minute audition.

Updated March 20: CBS Daytime has announced winners for its nationwide casting call, which landed two lucky people one-day roles on “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless.” Soaps.com congratulates Rochester, New York’s Deepa Patel, 31, who will appear in an upcoming episode of “B&B,” as well as Chicago Illinois’ Eric Blain, 22, who landed an upcoming episode on “Y&R.”

Blain is an actor who performs regularly in community theater. A lifelong fan of daytime dramas, he leads his church choir and plays a number of instruments, including the drums, piano, guitar, saxophone and trumpet. Recently, Blain was accepted to the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, which he plans to attend in the fall.

Patel works as a quality specialist in behavioral health case management. Previously, she lived for five years in London, where she studied vocal performance and earned a master’s degree in music psychotherapy. Recently, Patel rediscovered her love of performing when she enrolled in a local acting class. Her upcoming role on "B&B" will mark the first part she’s played since she appeared onstage in a high school play.

Stay tuned for their character details and air dates.
